Jason Friedman grew up in the real estate business and understands how to build from the ground up. In late 2015, following the SALE of Associated Estates, Mr. Friedman started his own company called JA Friedman Capital. After 5 years of hard work and fast growth, Addison Properties is the offspring company that continues to focus on apartment and land development.

fter graduating from Auburn University, Mr. Friedman worked at PriceWaterhouse Coopers in the real estate consulting group doing mass appraisals throughout the country. In 2004, Mr. Friedman started JAS Construction Inc. JAS Construction was a general contractor focusing on multifamily construction and renovation throughout the United States. After completing the new construction or substantial renovation of more than 10,000 units and $150,000,000, Mr. Friedman decided to merge with Associated Estates in 2009.
When he joined Associated Estates, Mr. Friedman was tasked with building a national development team to help with the aggressive growth that occurred between 2010 and 2015. As Senior Vice President of Acquisitions and Development, Mr. Friedman was responsible for all new development and construction activities including the purchasing of land, design and entitlements. From 2009 to 2015, Associated Estates developed more than 1 billion dollars and acquired more than 1 billion dollars of existing properties. Mr. Friedman has more than 20 years of real estate experience buying and building properties in many states.
In 2015 Associated Estates was sold to Brookfield Asset Management for more than $2.5 billion dollars and JA Friedman Capital was born.
